The Top Five TV Shows and Films To Watch This Week (31st July - 4th August 2023)

Family, friends and fun! What more could you want from your TV screens this summer? Whilst one epic show is coming to an end, a whole host are starting. Here are my top five picks of the week…

Love Island, 9pm, ITV2, Monday 31st July: We seen love, arguments and friendships be built and dumped, but now the final is here. Who will walk away with the prize money? We will just have to find out in this feature length finale.

Wolf, 9pm, BBC One, Monday 31st July: If you are seeking something a bit more thrilling to start your week than the BBC have got it. Based on the bestselling books, the show follows a young man seeking to find the person who murdered his brother. However, along the way, more mysteries begin to occur.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Wednesday 2nd August: I am Groot! I am Groot! I am Grooootttt! Okay, so I will explain! The third outing for the Guardians is crash landing onto Disney Plus UK today. Telling the tragic story of Rocket and how he came to be, it will give you a fresh new perspective on the Guardians in what is said to be their final outing.

Heartstopper (Series Two), 8am, Netflix UK, Thursday 3rd August: After a ton of success, the cast of this emotional and joyful series are back for a second outing. If it is anything like the books get the tissues ready!

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, 8am, Prime Video, Friday 4th August: Upon the death of her parents, Alice is sent to live with her grandmother on her flower farm. In a journey of self-discovery, this drama will be dropping the first three episodes today, with others coming out weekly. Perfect binge watching material.
