The Last Sunrise, 8am, Prime Video UK, Wednesday 26th August: Based on the best-selling book by Anna Todd, this romance is set in the wonderful Spanish island of Majorca. Having us all dreaming of flying off to sunny climates, the film follows one young woman, as she finds herself whisked off her feet by a local Spanish man. However, their families are forbidding them from taking it any further. Will love win? You will have to watch to find out.
Fightland, 9pm, Sky Atlantic, Thursday 27th August: After spending eight years in jail, an ex boxer is back out in society and seeking revenge. Full of the thrills of life in the ring and that of a criminal mastermind, be prepared to get hooked on this new series.
Meet The Owens, 8am, Netflix UK, Friday 28th August: Michael Owen has become a legend when it comes to British football. Yet, we don’t know a lot about him. In this new documentary series, Michael and his family are showing what really happens within their life behind closed doors.
The Whisper Man, 8am, Netflix UK, Friday 28th August: With an incredible all-star cast, including Robert De Nero, Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan, this thriller will have you starting the weekend on the edge of your sofa. When his son is abducted, Scott’s father figure must work with his father to try and find out what the serial killer who took him wants. Pillows to hide behind at the ready.
Fontaines D.C. At Reading Festival, 10:40pm, BBC One, Friday 28th August: If you want to start the weekend by dancing the night away then you have to tune into the amazing set that is sure to occur from Fontaines D.C.. Making their big debut at Reading Festival as headliners, their performance is sure to go down in history.
