The Top TV Shows And Films To Watch On This Week (31st August - 4th September 2026)

With the return to school looming, our TV is also welcoming some familiar faces back to our on screen classrooms! You will not want to miss the following five airing over the next week...

Trigger Point (Series Four), 9pm, ITV One, Sunday 30th/Monday 31st August: Get ready to sit on the edge of your seat, as one of the most intense shows on TV arrives to bring us even more jumps. After an intense opener tonight, the show gets even more gripping, as it continues into Monday evening too. Vicky McClure is sure to win an award for this!

The Jury: 14 And On Trial For Murder, 9pm, Channel Four, Tuesday 1st September: Returning for a third series, this interesting look at how a group of unknown people come to the decision as to whether someone is guilty of a crime or not is fascinating. Played out over the next four nights, this case has to be the most shocking yet, as it sees a teenager take to the stand, faced with being sentenced for murder.

The Gentlemen (Series Two), 8am, Prime Video UK, Wednesday 2nd September: Guy Richie’s hit series is back and more thrilling than ever. As the team return after a year away, they are faced with even more gangster antics. This time though, they are facing them in Italy, as they head to sunny climates to continue to build their empire.

Chad Powers (Series Two), 8am, Disney Plus UK, Thursday 3rd September: Having left viewers on a cliff hanger, this hit underdog comedy, starring Glen Powell, returns for a second series. Donning the aesthetics again, this time Chad has to be even more careful, as the daughter of the team’s coach is now in on his secret as well. Will his makeup slide off even further? Only time will tell.

The Grand Tour, 8am, Prime Video UK, Friday 4th September: With a whole new team heading this hit show's comeback, get ready to be entertained, as James Engelsman, Thomas Holland, and Francis Bourgeois take on the epic journey around the world. Getting behind the wheel of some of the best and worst cars around, they will be faced with many setbacks along the way. The perfect entertainment to drive us into the weekend with.
