The Top Five Films and TV Shows to Watch this Week (16th - 20th June 2025)

Music, comedy and reflections are all leading themes when it comes to my big five features this week! Don’t miss out on the following, which are heading to our screens over the next few days…

We Were Liars, 8am, Prime Video UK, Wednesday 18th June: Based on the best-selling book, this new YA series follows a young woman, as she tries to find out how she got amnesia. Along the way, twist and turns are revealed that will leave you shocked every time.

The Waterfront, 8am, Netflix UK, Thursday 19th June: A brand new drama that will catapult your week from the first episode. There hasn’t been a lot revealed about it, which makes it even more exciting. Get ready to binge this one!

Heston: My Life With Bipolar, 8pm, BBC Two, Thursday 19th June: Known for his creative kitchen dishes, Heston Blumenthal has not been on our screens for a long time. This is due to him taking a big break to look after his health. Having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, this documentary sees him looking into what has happened since he was made aware of it.

Pushers, 9pm, Channel Four, Thursday 19th June: Comedian Rosie Jones is the face behind this new comedy, which is very much giving off a Breaking Bad style. After loosing her disability benefits, Jones’ character decides to start dealing drugs to earn money. However, there are many mishaps along the way.

Isle Of Wight Festival, 7pm, Sky Mix, Friday 20th June: Friday nights are about to get super musical, as festival season is in full swing. Starting with the chance to catch all the coverage from the Isle of Wight festival, which is taking place over the next few days.
