Following an NHS North West appeal to competent sowers, Watford General Hospital has now been provided with 1000 news scrubs for nurses and doctors, volunteers sewing together pre-cut material.
Calling for Watford residents to take on bulk orders of scrubs, the community responded in an extraordinary way.
Speaking to Vibe107.6 presenter Noah Abrahams, Watford Sewers co-ordinator, Sarah Beasy said:
“We’ve had an overwhelming response, for which we are eternally grateful. It shows how much everybody wants to assist.
“We are currently no longer in need of any further sowers and we are working towards getting the thousands of scrubs to Watford General Hospital.”
