Speaking in an interview with the club website, Hornet’s Head of Injury Prevention Alberto Leon says that the former Barcelona forward is on the way to full recovery.
Following the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus injuries that the Spaniard picked up in the historic 3-0 Premier League victory over Liverpool in February, Deulofeu’s fitness is improving quickly.
“There is less swelling on the knee,” Leon said.
“He is working very well and is continuing through the stages, going slowly so we can work through the degrees of flexion in the knee.
“He will see the doctor in six weeks and decide the next step. There is a healing process for the meniscus and he needs to go slowly.
“After six weeks he will slowly start to do everything.”
Jose Holebas, Isaac Success and Daryl Janmaat are also out injured for the Golden Boys.
