Now up and running at Watford General Hospital, a coronavirus testing centre has opened for hospital staff members and those living in their households.
Part of the hospital car park is now being used as a place for our front-line heroes to be tested for Covid-19.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust say that staff eligible to be tested can use the facility.
Set-up as ‘drive through’, two white tents have been put up, workers wearing PPE on hand to take a swab as a potential carrier makes their way through.
The test, however, does not have to take place at the hospital drive through. It can take place at home or at an alternative testing location.
As Member of Parliament for Watford, Dean Russell, explained on the Vibe107.6 Breakfast Show, the test will help put minds at ease. With several working in the NHS worried, this testing centre will provide clarity.
