Visit ‘The Great Big Dinosaur Show’ Before It’s Extinct

A performance all about your favourite prehistoric pals lands in Hertfordshire.

Featuring poet Simon Mole and singer-storyteller Gecko, the talented pair are set to present their raps and rhymes across two locations next week, Thursday 22nd February. With Bushey and Watford Central Library scheduled to welcome the production, tickets are priced at just £5 for a day to remember.

The Great Big Dinosaur Show comes to you as part of a 2024 tour, following its recent debut at the Oxford University Museum. Its cheerful tone is certainly sure to make your little ones roar with excitement.

The show stars acclaimed children’s writer and performer, Simon Mole alongside musician Gecko. Simon, who works in schools and libraries across the country and overseas, encourages youngsters to engage with poetry. His YouTube channel dedicated to this cause has also been featured on the BBC.

Gecko has appeared on the BAFTA award-winning TV show ‘Life & Rhymes’ and shared stages with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Loyle Carner. His music, playful and upbeat, has been awarded ‘Album of the Year’ twice by The Morning Star newspaper. He hopes to put an interesting spin on some terrific tunes.

Both hosts have expressed their elation surrounding the upcoming shows, with Mole commenting, “It has been so exciting to turn my book of poems into a live performance,"  referring to his fourth book titled ‘A First Book of Dinosaurs’ published last year.

Gecko added: “It’s been an absolute treat to get into dinosaur mode with Simon Mole and director Peader Kirk.”

Catch this production before it's gone, with the final show taking place next month in Didcot, Oxfordshire.
