Hertfordshire’s biggest firework display is set to return to Watford next month for an evening of family-fun.

The annual show will take place at Cassiobury Park on Saturday 7 November and is free to attend, with visitors advised to bring cash on the night.

With the main event at 7:30 pm, spectators can enjoy funfair rides, food stalls and live entertainment from Vibe 106.7 FM and band ‘The Nevers’ beforehand.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “The Cassiobury Park fireworks are one of the highlights of our community calendar and a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and enjoy a free evening of entertainment.

“We're proud that Watford Borough Council funds this event for the community, making it accessible to everyone.”

Any money raised will go to directly towards local charities such as Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care and Hayaat Welfare Trust, as well as Watford Lions Club and the Watford Community Fund.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, also added: “We're grateful to the Watford Lions Club and all the other volunteers who help raise vital funds for local charities. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps make a real difference to people in Watford.”

There will be no general parking in the Gade Avenue car park from 3 pm on the day of the event, with a limited number of Blue Badge spaces available on a first come, first served basis.

Parking restrictions will also be in place on surrounding roads between 7 am to 11 pm, with attendees encouraged to make use of town centre car parks or public transport where possible.
