The Five Must-See TV Shows To Catch This Week (31st May - 4th June 2021)

Hello Everyone! Today marks the start of a new week and with it a whole host of new TV shows are being released for us to enjoy. Discover the top five unmissable shows coming out this week that you have to watch:

Food Unwrapped: BBQs For Summer, 7:30pm, Channel 4, Bank Holiday Monday (31st May): Did you have your first BBQ this weekend? Before the sun disappears again, become the ultimate BBQ cook, with this useful inside look at how to make the best marinades, charcoals and drinks for your next party.

Anne Boleyn, 9pm, Channel 5, Tuesday 1st June: The first episode out of three that will be aired this week starts the story we all know the ending to. However, you feel about history, this show is making it with the incredible Jodie Turner-Smith playing one of the most famous queens of all. Thrilling and gripping, you will not want to miss this one. 

Joey Essex: Grief and Me, 9pm, BBC One, Thursday 3rd June: For many of us, Joey Essex has been the face of TOWIE for a long time. Yet, this new documentary shows the torment he has been living with from a young age. After the tragic death of his mum, he has often wondered why she took her own life. This special documentary sees the star opening up and looking for a place of comfort from his grief. 

Genius: Aretha, 8am, Disney+, Friday 4th June: No one can deny that Aretha Franklin is a musical hero. This new series looks into her life, with Cynthia Erivo playing the legend. Full of classic songs that will have you singing along, this series will teach you so much that you will have a new level of respect for the star.

Celebrity Gogglebox, 9pm, Channel 4, Friday 4th June: We all love getting a chance to sneak a peek inside the homes of celebrities. Seeing their opinions on TV shows is even better. With new faces joining the celebrity regulars, including Claire Balding and her partner, the sofa reviewers are sure to make the start of your weekend even better.
