Show Rickmansworth what you're made of, as you walk, jog or run the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile and raise money for a great cause at the same time!
The town will host its third Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 20th March, with around 300 people runners expected to take the challenge. So you could complete the Mile whilst enjoying the picturesque views of the lakes, then enjoy the entertainment on offer.
The Milers will hope to raise money for Sport Relief and do their part for the cause but as it's not a race, people are invited to walk, jog, or run the 1, 3 or 6 mile routes with friends and family. Face painters, obstacle courses, and workshops will be in abundance, and sport prizes will be awarded for the best runner in fancy dress.
Ryan Watson, the sports development officer at Three Rivers District Council and the event's organiser said: "Half of all the money raised by the public is spent right here at home in the UK, with the other half used to make a difference in the world’s poorest communities. We’ve got a jammed pack event with a wide range of family friendly activities".
"The Rickmansworth Mile will take in the beautiful sights and surroundings of Rickmansworth Aquadrome and is set to be an incredible event."
