The Museum of Watford will host a free, family-friendly Valentine’s Day event at North Watford Library on 14th February.
This event is inspired by Watford’s romantic icon, Longland, whose love tokens won the 2024 Herts Museum Object of the Year title, and will be hosted on Saturday 14th February from 1:00pm to 3:30pm for “Love From Watford” as a celebration driven by creativity, history, and community.
Watford’s Elected Mayor, Peter Taylor says that “Watford boasts a rich and unique heritage. Our Valentine’s Day event ‘Love From Watford’ is the perfect way for families and friends to connect creatively while celebrating our town’s unique history.”
The museum’s drop-in event will host creative activities including making your own sock teddy bear, crafting a Valentine’s card, as well as a Valentine’s Day traditions treasure hunt. It will also be a chance to explore Watford’s romantic past and see the Object of the Year along with other love tokens in the Museum’s collections.
