Residents are being invited to meet with charities at an upcoming event, celebrating the work of community groups and organisations throughout Watford.
Watford Volunteers’ Fair will see charity representatives come together to share information on how people can get involved with local causes.
The fair is set to take place from 10am - 3pm on Saturday 6 June, outside Puttshack in the Harlequin Watford.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about community initiatives and services, and discover ways they can contribute. Whether it be through volunteering, partnering with local organisations or community engagement.
The event is being delivered by Watford Borough Council in conjunction with Watford and Three Rivers Trust (W3RT).
Both organisations are committed to fostering community connections, raising awareness of local support networks, as well as encouraging greater involvement in charitable activity.
Founded in 1974, Watford and Three Rivers Trust aims to strengthen the local volunteer sector by working in partnership with councils and other organisations.
The not-for-profit organisation runs the Community and Voluntary Service (CVS), along with supporting charities across Watford and the Three Rivers Trust Area. Its goal is to promote, support and deliver activities that strengthen the community.
Commenting on the upcoming Volunteers’ Fair, Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “This event is about bringing people together, connecting residents with organisations that are working every day to support our community. Whether you're looking to give your time, find support, or simply learn more, we encourage everyone to come along and get involved."
Watford Volunteers’ Fair is open to all and offers a welcoming, inclusive space for residents, families, and anyone interested in making a difference locally.
