The Top TV Shows And Films To Watch On This Week (8th - 12th June 2026)

Love is in the air this week, as the following five shows feature some very passionate relationships! Including a big emotional journey that will last all month for many of us! Find out what you need to watch over the next five days here...

Alice And Steve, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Monday 8th June: All six episodes of this new comedy drama drop on Monday and it looks set to be one of the biggest binges of the week. Starring Nicola Walker, it follows her character having to deal with the fact that her best friend ends up sleeping with her daughter. The testing nature of all on screen brings laughter and fragility, making it a must watch.

Gareth Southgate: Changing The Game For Young Men, 9pm, BBC One, Monday 8th June: With many of us having been rapt up in Dear England over the past few weeks, the series has brought with it a documentary from one of the best England managers of all time. Looking into the way that men deal with mental health issues, Southgate shows not only the vulnerable nature of the sport but the impact it has at home and personally too.

Every Year After, 8am, Prime Video UK, Wednesday 10th June: Based on the best selling book, this new drama adds to the brilliant collection of YA series that Amazon are focusing on. Going back and forth between the past and the present, it shares the story of one couple's battle to remain in love when faced with the hardships around them.

Babes, 8am, Netflix UK, Thursday 11th June: Following two best friends, this film is a fun take on what happens when the unexpected occurs. When one of the women in the feature finds out she is pregnant, she turns to her best friend for help. However, she is also battling making sure that her own family is okay, creating a lot of mayhem for the pair. It is a very fun film to start the weekend with.

World Cup 2026, Various Times, Various Channels, Starting Thursday 11th June: The biggest football competition has arrived! Put those team colours on, fly those flags and get ready for a whole month of sporting goodness. Kane will be leading the team as captain again and we are sure that under his guidance that we may just get a chance to bring it home.
