Cllr Stephen King invites residents, visitors and local organisations to play an 18-hole golf event to raise money for a good cause and a local football team.
The golf event will be held at Rickmansworth Golf Club on Saturday 14 to support Oxhey Jets Football Club and The Ehlers-Danlos Society.
The Ehlers-Danlos Society is a global organisation supporting the advancement of research as well as education in Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS)- a group of 13 connective tissue disorders. The Oxhey Jets are a semi-professional football club for all ages based in South Oxhey.
Cllr King said: “It will be a fun and competitive day with the money going to good causes. These organisations are close to my heart as some of my family members sadly suffer from EDS and the Oxhey Jets have been absolutely amazing for our young people. I would like to thank Rickmansworth Golf Course for hosting us and the officers for helping me in organising the event.”
“I will still be hosting the annual Chair Quiz night at the council’s head officer in Rickmansworth on 17 April. We will let everyone know when the tickets are on sale”
The golf event costs £60 per person and includes a breakfast roll at 8am before a shotgun style tee-off and lunch. Teams must have four players per group. Individual bookings are welcome and will be placed into a team.
