Tommy Pell
Tommy found his passion for radio and television on the internet at the age of fifteen when he founded an online radio station for teenagers. He would broadcast to thousands of users across the online virtual platform, Habbo Hotel each and every day after school. Even from the early age of eleven, Tommy was passionate about his music, he decided to host his own birthday party, so instead of hiring a DJ, he tried his luck at organising the entertainment, music and lighting himself – he’s still doing it to-date, so he must have done something right!
When Tommy left college, he launched his own business to help young people find work through online volunteering schemes, specialising in the creative and entertainment industries. His business was backed by a number of brands and recruitment agencies and was voted best startup during the recession.
Tommy adores monkey’s, he visits the zoo at least five times a year to see his favourite mammal, he owns a fair few cuddly toys and donates to the monkey sanctuary - don’t be surprised if you hear a monkey shoutout on the airwaves. He also likes to keep fit by playing tennis, swimming and attending the gym. and loves a scary movie – the scarier the better!
In addition to beginning his studies for a degree at University in 2015, Tommy has recently become pretty familiar with a camera and has started a YouTube channel. He has also worked with the BBC, Smoke Radio, Soho Radio, Fun Kids and has now found his new home at VIBE 107.6 FM, presenting the Evening Show every Wednesday night from 7.00pm until 9.00pm.
