A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder after a "much-loved" son was hit by a car in Accrington.
Matthew Weller, 44, died in hospital after he was struck by a VW Passat on Wednesday night, Lancashire Constabulary said.
The car, which did not stop at the scene, was later found abandoned and taken away to be examined.
Muhammad Haarith, of Accrington, has been charged with Mr Weller's murder.
Haarith appeared at Preston Magistrates' Court on Saturday, and was remanded into custody.

Mr Weller's family said in a statement: "Matt was a much-loved son, brother and uncle.
"He was a music lover, and left an impression on those that knew him.
"Rest peacefully Matt, you will be missed."
Three boys aged 17, and a man aged 18, who were arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder, have been released on bail pending further enquiries, police said.
