Holywell Community Centre

Watford Rotary Club's Community Showcase presented local businesses with amazing prizes and oppotunities, as well as free food and coffee to commend their hard work.

Watford Rotary Club commerated local heroes by throwing a Community Showcase which saw representatives from multiple charities, schools and businesses, all of which were hoping locals to invest and donate into their works.

The event took place at Holywell Community Centre on the 9th February, and visitors were able to talk to several local organisations, and discuss important issues such as accessibility, equal oppotunties and further ways to strengthen ties between the community.

The Rotary club served free coffee and pizza for attendees, as well as ongoing support for families and non-for-profit organisations. Local businesses were encouraged to explore different options, such as working from home, volunteering and sponsorship.

Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, praised the impact of the Rotary's work: "It was fantastic to pop by the the Watford Rotary Showcase and see first-hand the incredible range of activities they are involved in. From local community projects to international initatives, the commitment and passion of the volunteers really stood out. They do such great work in our community every year, and I wish them all the best for the year ahead.'

Ali Irteza, Club President of Watford Rotary Club, states:

'The Showcase was a brilliant opportunity to open our doors to the community and share what Rotary is all about. We were delighted to meet so many people who are passionate about making a difference, whether through volunteering, partnerships or simply learning more about what we do.
