Raise the Roof campaign launched by The Pump House to fund a new roof

The Pump House theatre in Watford has started a new, urgent campaign to raise £750,000 for a new roof

After being converted into a theatre in the early 1970s The Pump House has gone through multiple developments over the years, however is in desperate need of a new watertight, insulated roof to continue their work in the community.

The Pump House aims to provide access to the arts for all communities here in Watford. Arts continue to provide a social and emotional lifeline allowing people to escape the realities of everyday life.

Lee Farman, Chair of the Pump House Theatre and Arts Trust, said:

“We urgently need a new roof. As a charity we currently receive minimal direct funding or grants so rely on the generosity of our supporters and volunteers to stay open. That’s why I’m encouraging everyone to get behind our Raise the Roof campaign and donate today.''

Hoping to raise money they are holding an arts, crafts and vintage fair on the 16th of April between 10am-4pm with free entry. There will be an array of local goods on sale all for a great, local cause.

To aid the new campaign a new membership programme has been set up to allow the public to have access to exclusive perks and offers such as discounted tickets, free drinks, cheaper fees for room hires and even more.
