In an incredible effort to help Watford residents in need, over 500 people have signed up to the new Watford Helps coronavirus scheme.
An initiative put in place to link volunteers with those who need extra support in our community, anyone can give their time, either in person or remotely.
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “I am extremely proud of how our town is rising to the many challenges of the coronavirus emergency.
“I'd like to thank everyone who has already signed up to volunteer and would encourage you to get involved if you think you can.”
Watford Borough Council, alongside partner organisation Watford & Three Rivers Trust, is working through applications submitted and will respond to applicants as soon as possible.
