All you have to do is tweet a great photo of yourself with family or friends, enjoying the Cassiobury Fireworks to @vibe1076, before 6.50pm this Saturday. The winners will be chosen from the images we received and announced at 7.00pm by Vibe 107.6 presenters, Lee and Laura. They will be invited to collect their intu gift cards from the stage and could even join in the countdown to the fireworks!
Just think, you could treat yourself to some new clothes, shoes or homeware, or even start your Christmas shopping in some of intu Watford's great new stores. However you want to spend the £100 intu gift card is up to you; the possibilities are endless!
The enormous bonfire will be lit at 7pm, with a fantastic 20 minute firework display starting at 7.30pm but arrive at Cassiobury Park early to make sure you don’t miss a great night of live entertainment, fantastic music from Georgia and the Vintage Youth and a spectacular fireworks display. In November 2015 Georgia's debut single obtained her Westfield/Senheisser artist of the month. Since then she has virtually written her first album, released her debut EP "The Girl" and follow up EP "El Reco”, which featured Neville Staple (The Specials) and recently released a Jazz/Funk/Soul EP Titled “Go FUNK Yourself” produced by Mo Pleasure (Earth Wind & Fire, Micheal Jackson). The EP’s can be found on iTunes and Spotify, and have been played across numerous radio platforms including BBC radio 2 and of course, Vibe 107.6!
Crowds can also take advantage of the variety of food and drink outlets, kiddies funfair rides and bungee trampolines, which will be on offer throughout the evening. This year's stage sponsors are intu Watford and Palmers Motor Company. Please remember the whole evening is free-to-attend so give generously to the local charity collectors from Peace Hospice Care and Watford Lions. All the money raised will go to the Peace Hospice, Sign Post and Watford Women’s Centre, vital local charities working within our community.
To keep everyone safe no sparklers, fireworks or alcohol are allowed in the park.
Getting to the park: There is NO PARKING in the Gade Avenue car park from 3.00pm, apart from a limited number of blue badge spaces, which are available on a first come first served basis. There are also parking restrictions on surrounding roads to the park from 7.00am to 11.00pm, so you are advised to park in one of the public car parks in the town centre. There is limited car parking available at Fullerians Rugby club charged at £5 a car.
