Christmas TV is some of the best around and this year it has been heightened even more. Get those dancing shoes ready and those thinking caps on over the next few days, with these top five unmissable watches…

The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, 4:55pm, BBC One, Christmas Eve: Adapted from the world famous book, this year’s big animation from BBC One will go down in history. Definitely a feature to snuggle up with the whole family to.

Strictly Come Dancing, 5:10pm, BBC One, Christmas Day: Who doesn’t love Strictly at Christmas? Get those dancing shoes on because a whole host of famous faces are taking to the dance floor to help get the party started.

Call The Midwife, 7:55pm, BBC One, Christmas Day: Is it even Christmas if we don’t get a visit from these famous midwife’s? Tackling many tough subjects, along with some festive fun, this special sets us up for the new series perfectly.

The Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2022, 9pm, Channel 4, Boxing Day: Go back in time to the start of the year and put your knowledge of what happened to the test. Politics, showbiz and entertainment are all going to be investigated, so gather the family and see who comes out on top.

Jon and Lucy’s Party of the Year, 9pm, Channel 4, Wednesday 28th December: Gathering a whole bunch of their famous friends, these two will be bringing a whole host of laughter to our TVs. Running down everything that happened in 2022, you won’t want to miss it.
