The Top Five Shows To Watch This Week

Again, I am here bright and early this week to deliver you the best shows to watch. From your favourite streaming and TV services. With real life and throwbacks taking over the next five days, it is time to prepare for some serious binge watching. Especially for sporting fans. Set a reminder for these five fabulous shows now:

Uprising, 9pm, BBC One, Tuesday 20th July: Fresh from the incredible film director, Steve McQueen, this incredible set of documentaries starts tonight. Looking into the tragedy behind a fire in the 1980s that killed a number of black teenagers, it is an eye opening piece that will educate us all.

Behind The Attraction, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Wednesday 21st July: Disney know how to pull us in with their documentaries. Fans of the theme parks main attractions or those who wish to visit them, will be treated to never before seen access, as this series explores how they came to be, what has made them so successful and what it really takes to keep them running.

Turner & Hooch, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Wednesday 21st July: In a modern day retelling, Josh Peck, from Drake and Josh fame, takes over from Tom Hanks to try and keep the infamous pooch at bay. Together, the crime fighting duo work on weekly cases that will make fun viewing for the whole family.

Sexy Beasts, 8am, Netflix, Wednesday 21st July: Love Island may be dominating the dating TV scene at the moment, but it could be about to lose its crown. After the success of The Masked Singer and Dancer, Netflix have taken the format onto this show, with a potential couple heading out on a first date with a mask on them. Odd yes! Certain to be addictive TV though? Absolutely!

Olympics Opening Ceremony, 12pm, BBC One, Friday 23rd July: After a year of waiting to see some of our top sports stars competing, the Tokyo Olympics are finally about to start. For two weeks, our TVs will be filled with the talented delights of Max Whitlock, Dina Asher-Smith, Jade Jones and many more, as they make us all proud with their sporting heroics. Starting today with what I am sure will be an amazing opening ceremony.

Let us know what you have been watching and what you are most looking forward to catching over the course of the week, via our social media pages, as we would love to hear all about them!
