Awards season is in full swing and our TV screens know it. From the world of soaps to super feature length films, there is something for everyone in my epic top five shows and films to watch this week…

Britain’s Got Talent: The Final, 7:30pm, ITV One, Sunday 4th June: After weeks of tension, laughter and madness, the grand finale of BGT is here. Who will win? It’s up to us to decide!

Vicky McClure: My Grandad’s War, 9pm, ITV One, Monday 5th June: To mark the anniversary of D-Day, actor Vicky McClure takes us behind the scenes of her life to share her grandad’s incredible story. Full of emotional content, this one calls for the tissue box.

The British Soap Awards 2023, 8pm, ITV One, Tuesday 6th June: Love Emmerdale? Obsessed with Eastenders? Can’t stand Corrie? Whatever it may be, the world of UK soaps are coming together for one special night full of awards. Find out if your favourite wins tonight.

Avatar: The Way of Water, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Wednesday 7th June: After one of the most epic first films in years, the sequel is now making its way into our homes via the streaming service. Get the whole family gathered round to watch to give you the ultimate midweek motivation.

Flamin’ Hot, 8am, Disney Plus UK, Friday 9th June: Every enjoyed a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos? This new feature film from Disney explores the origins of one of the best crisps ever and how it changed the snack world. Grab a few bags and enjoy whilst watching.
