Breakspear Park launches 2023 community fund to support good causes throughout Hertfordshire

Breakspear Park, Hemel Hempstead's leading business campus, has recently announced their new community charity campaign for the new year

Breakspear Park, Hemel Hempstead's leading business campus, has recently announced their new community charity campaign for the new year.

In hopes of supporting charities, not-for-profit groups and services during the continuous looming presence of the cost of living crisis, they will be gifting £1000 to a publicly chosen charity every quarter.

Commenting on why they started the campaign, marketing manager, Dina Mistry, who has a close connection to this campaign, having volunteered for animal charities said:

“We always talk internally about how we are a community of local employees, but we wanted to reach out beyond the walls of Breakspear Park. Given the current cost-of-living crisis, many charities and local not-for-profit groups are struggling, so we’re giving back to the areas we live and work in. We want to celebrate and support good causes that are making a difference and helping those in need in the Hertfordshire community, so we’re looking forward to receiving the nominations.”

The cost-of-living crisis had drastically come to light in the past year, with a large increase in the costs of basic necessities such as food, fuel and energy.

According to Metro a total of 20,000 companies went out of business in January- September of 2022, an increase of 72% from the previous year. It is clear the major effects this crisis has brought to the entire country, therefore Breakspear Park is trying to make a difference locally, here in Hertfordshire.

Housing 13 different businesses totaling 1,300 employees, Ms. Mistry discusses the company, “we have been established in Hemel Hempstead for over 30 years now, and we are lucky that some of the UK’s top companies choose to call us home for their office space.”

They are asking the general public to send in their nominations for causes they deem worthy of support. If you would like to nominate a non-profit that helps make a difference here in the Hertfordshire area, contact dina.mistry@breakspear-park.co.uk by midnight on the 29th of January.

Nominators must include their details and their nominee's details. Moreover, a description of the importance of the chosen Hertfordshire-based project, charity, group or service, why they deserve to be awarded the £1000 donation and what the money will go towards.

Once all nominations have been thoroughly looked through by the Breakspear Park’s management team, the top three chosen charities will be announced on their Facebook page, allowing the people of Hertfordshire to vote for the organisation they deem most important to the community. The first £1000 will be awarded in March 2023.
