We take a look at Hertfordshire's local contestants of Love Island 2018

Love Island 2018: Stephanie, Darylle, Eyal and Alexandra

With the Love Island final taking place on Monday 30th July, here's everything you need to know about past and present contestants who are local to Watford.

There have been more Hertfordshire-born contestants in this year's series of the Mallorcan dating programme than in previous years. Watford and Hertfordshire residents have loved seeing so many local faces on the nation's favourite Summer programme.

First into the villa was Eyal Booker, a Jewish model and actor from Bushey. Eyal was dumped on 27th June, after spending just under 4 weeks on the programme. His experiences in the villa saw him couple up with two girls, Hayley Hughes and Megan Barton-Hanson, but unfortunately he didn't find love. With very spiritual beliefs, Eyal was known as 'The Buddha from Bushey' on the programme.

Local boy Eyal has since been confirmed to star on series 5 of one of E4's most popular programmes, Celebs Go Dating. Before entering the villa, the 22-year-old attended the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School, and formed a young pop group EverYoung, which toured local schools in Bushey and Herts.

Darylle Sergeant was the next from Herts to enter the villa, known among local fans for her work at Underground Tattoos Watford. The tattoo artist and eyebrow technician from Watford made it to the villa after coupling with Adam in Casa Amor. Their spell together was short, as Adam revealed he still had feelings from his previous coupling with Zara McDermott, and the two were dumped from the villa.

Since leaving the programme, Darylle has been seen at celebrity events with the other ex-islanders, such as a Kisstory party, and been interviewed on Arftersun and Lorraine. She has now signed with renowned celebrity management agency, Neon Management.

Another local girl, Stephanie Lam, spent a short week on the reality TV programme. Originally from St Albans, Stephanie entered the villa on 16th July, and was dumped after a public vote on 22nd July. The 23-year old attended Beaumont School on Oakwood Drive, and then studied fashion communication at Northumbria University.

Stephanie Lam will join the other islanders at future fan events such as Love Island Live on 10th August.

Last but not least is Alexandra Cane, the only contestant from Hertfordshire who is currently still in the Love Island villa. She entered the show on 11th July with her eyes set on Dr Alex, they later re-coupled and have been on and off since.

The 27 year-old make-up artist has gained much support from fans who are outraged with Alex George for his treatment of her. The doctor broke up with Alexandra on last night's show, explaining that he cannot 'fake' his feelings for her.

Alex and Alexandra both have a lot of fans individually, but their current status as a separated couple means that all hopes of winning the show on Monday are now lost.

You can watch the Love Island final on ITV2 at 9pm on Monday 30th July.
