Watford Colour Run raises over £30,000 for Peace Hospice Care!

A foam ‘zone’ was just one of the surprises along the route!

More than £30,000, so far, has been raised by Peace Hospice Care’s Watford Colour Run, which was held on Sunday 21st May, in Aldenham Country Park.

Over 1,000 participants took part in the 5k fun run and got colourful in support of Peace Hospice Care. Along the route, as well as being pelted with colour, participants were dowsed with water and waded through foam.

The day saw families, teams and local businesses coming together in support of Peace Hospice Care. Jay Lenk-Smith, from Watford, took part on the day for the first time, in memory of his Grandmother who passed away at the Hospice in January 2016. Jay said: “My Grandmother was in the Hospice’s Inpatient Unit and my family and I are incredibly grateful for the care she received. This is my way of giving back to the charity by raising money for their wonderful care and I can’t think of a better way to do it.”

It's wonderful to see so many people come together and have fun while raising much - needed funds. It is very important to us to support a local charity and we are proud to support Peace Hospice Care and the outstanding care they provide to the community."
